The Kisumu Show started in 1966 at the Kisumu Municipal stadium. It was moved to its current site at Mamboleo showground in 1987 located along Miwani road off the Kisumu-Kakamega road, 3 kms from the city centre and 4 kms from Kisumu International Airport.

The theme for 2019 is:

Promoting Innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade.

The show was upgraded to its current regional status in 2010 due to its strategic location. Today the show attracts exhibitors and visitors from the neighbouring Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and Uganda.

Its always a great opportunity to visit the show and learn various innovative agricultural solutions, products from the agricultural community as well as new products in the market.

The show is also an opportunity for those in the academics to network and learn from the very best in the agricultural sector and farmers themselves.

My memories of the precious shows I had attended had been worth the visit and looking forward to the 2019 edition as well.
