Lady Cranes squad to face Lionesses in Kisumu announced

Uganda have named their squad for Saturday’s Women Elgon Cup fixture against Kenya at the Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu City.

The squad is captained by Winnie Atyang with Peace Lekuru serving as the assistant captain. This match, which will serve as a curtain raiser to the Men’s fixture between the two nations will be played at 1.30pm.

It is the first time the two sides are facing off since the last fixture in 2015 and this fixture will serve as a dress rehearsal for August’s 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup qualifiers where both sides will compete against hosts South Africa and Madagascar.
