After successfully representing Kenya and the City of Kisumu in the global Technovation Challenge 2017, the five former Kisumu Girls students last week received a coveted African of the Year Award worth USD 25,000, KShs 2,500,000 in local value, run by the Daily Trust Magazine in Nigeria.

The award ceremony was done in Nigeria.

The award certificate and cheque were received by Stacy Dina representing the four others and The Restorers for the iCut App innovation. 

Their mentor (Dorcas Patricia) during the competitive process back in 2017 was also in attendance to witness the award ceremony.
