Its not always the order of the day that many stars in their own rights all come to Kisumu all at once and at any particular time.
But this week, Kisumu has received very unlikely guests, including Njugush paying Governor Nyong’o a courtesy call, with a gift of a mighty scissor in tow.
Anyways, it all started last Monday with the #TwawezaLive auditions, where over 150 artists in their own rights from Kisumu and the region flocked the Acacia Premier Hotel to contest against each other to get the chance to represent the city and the region in Kisumu’s showstopper – the TwawezaLive Concert alongside the more established artists from Nairobi and around the country.

Anyways, this was besides the point of writing this.
The city smells so ‘Narobi’, with all these people now here, and more to jet-in in the coming days, if not week.
Kisumu Business Community
As a business community in the city; how prepared are we to receive and trade in with this new capital coming in? You know, they will be coming with their fans in tow. So, we need to be ready to provide them with their needs. Be it accommodation, transport, entertainment, friendship (I bet Kisumu is the most friendly city), tourism, etc. They need to find our house in order. We have always made the city the envy of many others on Kenya as the cleanest of them all. Thanks to our good nature. We need to maintain that.
The Twaweza Live Concert shall attract close to 10,000 people from around the region, with many hundreds flocking in from Narobi and other towns. And remember there’s also BLAZE Be Your Own Boss Kisumu edition also happening on the Friday 24th.
What will Kisumu do with Nameless, Juacali, Akothee, Willy Paul, Mercy Masika, Jalangoo, Njugush, Abel Mutua, DJ Joe Mfalme, Mc Alemba, Kriss Darlin, Mordecai (h_art the band), DJ Deff, King Kaka, Gidi Gidi, Maji Maji, Bensoul, Musyox, Big Ted, among many others in town?
Guys let’s give them work. Let’s keep them busy. Let’s entertain them, let’s take them to Lwang’ni so they eat real fish, let’s take them to tour Kondele the Base, and interact with them boys who make the place the heart of Kisumu.
We can sure give them the spirit of Kisumu. A taste of Kisumu. #AmazingKisumu
