Led by their CEO Mr. Mwaniki Mageria, the delegation briefed the Governor on the forthcoming Riverwood Academy Awards scheduled to be held in Kisumu City at Acacia Premier Hotel on September 15th, 2018.
RiverWood Academy awards is an annual Awards Gala Ceremony that was established in 2014 by RiverWood Ensemble Film makers Association Secretariat as a commemoration ceremony to bring together the entire film stake holders and players of the Film and television industry in a glamorous cocktail and red carpet event to recognize and appreciate best talents in the creative audio/visual and performing arts.
Now in its fifth year, this will be the first time this prestigious film award will be held outside Nairobi, in the City of Kisumu.
The aim of the awards is to encourage, empower and motivate motion pictures story tellers to narrate the Kenyan story so as to help preserve and maintain its rich diverse culture as well as showcase Kenyan natural scenery to the world as a film destination in Sub-Saharan Africa.
