Luo Festival Kisumu: The night that was…

When Luos gather; the world stops, it becomes an international disaster that has to be attended to 🙂

The only event where everyone is a V.I.P. but do we say!!!

Since one Luo Festival wasn’t enough, and was always being done in Nairobi, the organizers decided to bring it home to the great lakeside City of Kisumu. The event held at the Tom Mboya Labor College didn’t disappoint. The venue was filled to capacity with fans from around Western Kenya, with even some of them flying in to attend an all VIP event!

The artists’ lineup for the night was as below:

  • Nahna
  • The CBK Band
  • Akothee
  • Lady Moreen Queen of Ohangla
  • Dola Kabari
  • Emma Jalamo
  • John Junior

The Kisumu based artists Nahna and The CBK Band actually brought the house down with their electric performance. Fans were left yearning for more from them. The music-meter actually showed the home musicians actually outdoing the Nairobi-based ones. Nahna with her “Paro” song, left the crowed go gaga with her beautiful voice and her blue flowing dress with two slits from ground up to her waist 🙂

The CBK also made the fans go completely crazy and berserk with their “Rasukha Murwe” hit.

The fans were also entertained by Akothee among the others. However, her performance was taken as lackluster with calls for her to stick to “just dancing” rocking the airwaves and social networks.

The DJ of the night was P. Scratch, and he didn’t disappoint despite many of the fans claiming the quality of the music systems used and speakers failed his good work considerably.

Akothee treated her fans to a “Fan-Love” moment as soon as she landed in Kisumu City. And Luo’s with their very expensive didn’t disappoint in taking selfies and photos with Madam Boss herself.
