National Secondary Schools Ball Games To be held in Kisumu


The stage is set for the National Airtel sponsored Secondary Schools Ball games that is to begin from the 1st of October 2016 in the city of Kisumu.

The finals will miss perennial giants Kakamega High School and St Antony’s of Nzoia region, Kisumu Day of Lake Region.

A total of eight regions will participate in both the boys and girls category for soccer where they will be in two pools of four teams each.

The boys will see new entrants Friends School Bukembe of Bungoma flying the Nzoia flag while Barding of Siaya will do the same for Lake Region.

Defending National Champions Passenga will represent Aberdare while Metropolitan will be represented by Laiser Hill Academy.

2013 losing finalist Kathungi will be Highlands region flag bearer while Green Palms will represent Coast region.

The Mau Region will have little known Cheptenye .The Northern region has not sent their representatives.

In the girls category, Nginda will again represent Aberdares while Olympic girls will be the metropolitan region flag bearers. Kirigara will represent The Highlands region while Nyakach girls and St Johns Kaloleni will represent the lake and Coast region respectively. Itigo girls will be Mau’s hope for a national title while Nzoia will rely on Wiyeta Girls.

Lake Region may have another representative in Moi Girls Sindo if Northern Region does not send a representative.
