KCB Pepea card users to enjoy Kshs 14 offer for Easy Taxi rides worth up to KShs.1000 on Valentines

kcbpepeaKCB has today partnered with EASY Taxi to launch a valentine’s campaign which will see Pepea card users enjoy rides worth Kshs.1000 at the cost of Kshs.14 within Nairobi and its environs.

This comes as a follow up of KCB’s partnership which was launched last year December, a partnership with Easy taxi-an online taxi service which enables customers to pay for their taxi rides using KCB Pepea Debit card.

The campaign will run for a period of 14 hours on 14th of February starting 8.00 am to 10.00 pm, on 500 Easy Taxi Cabs within the period, after which the campaign will be stopped.

KCB Retail Director Anastacia Kimtai said that the Valentines campaign is a way to enhance the cashlite agenda by fulfilling its mission in providing efficiency while growing market share through partnerships.

“We want to be part of our customer’s journey and to be a relevant financial solution provider by creating memorable moments possible through the KCB Easy ride campaign. KCB Pepea makes it easier to entrench into the cashlite system by boosting digital ecommerce.” Said Anastacia Kimtai.

Other than KCB Pepea offers, the season ushers in various market trends with many offers on hotel discounts and increase in the horticulture distribution. Kenya Flower Council for instance reports that Kenya is commanding a market share of 38 percent in the EU making it the third largest exporter of cut flowers in the world.

“KCB Pepea serves to make sure the journey through these destinations and payment mechanics are catered for, thus creating an impact in Kenya’s fast paced cashlite system and market share.” Anastacia added.

The campaign will be open to all Kenyan residents who have a KCB Pepea Card and are based in Nairobi. Participants will be required to have a KCB Pepea card which is available at any KCB Branch, KCB Mtaani Agent or any of the participating Easy Taxi cabs and the Easy taxi app.

To participate in the competition, one needs to download the Easy Taxi mobile app in order to request for the cab and claim your ride. One shall then use their KCB Pepea card to pay for the cab ride which will cost Ksh 14 only, for rides worth up to Kshs 1,000.

If your ride costs more than Kshs 1,000, the offer will only apply up to Kshs 1,000, and you will be required to pay for the additional amount e.g If your cab ride costs Kshs 1,300, your pay Kshs 14 and top up with the extra Kshs 300 only, totaling Kshs 314.

KCB commits to being the preferred financial solutions provider, through its partnerships and making a difference through customer satisfaction. The prize will be non-transferable and no cash or other alternative shall be offered for the prize.
