Lakeside King and Queen

THE first edition of the King and Queen Lakeside pageant was held in Kisumu recently.

The event held at Tuffoam Mall saw 22 male and female models participate. Winners took home Sh25,000 each and a night at the Imperial Express Hotel.

Tonney Issambi from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University and Sharon Ominde of Moi University were crowned the King and Queen respectively.

Eugine Ogello and Godfrey Harun emerged first and second runners up in male category with Kelly Onjuro and Daisy Akinyi in female category.

The pageant was founded by Nigerian David Onyeka, Ivy Binna and Derek Lumumba (super model and trainer) from Kenya.

It works to promote culture, fashion and nurturing talents among the youths in the region. 100 Kisumu “super mums” were also honoured for their hard work in businesses and family.
